Giving Options

There are many ways you can give financially to ZPC. Please review these ideas to see which options fit you best :

Gifts of Cash

Cash and checks may be given during the weekend services mailed, dropped off at the church, or sent online. Dated giving envelopes are available at the Welcome Center for your convenience.

Increasingly popular are donations through online banking. Simply designate the church on your list of online payees through your banking software and schedule your contributions according to your giving preferences.

Gifts of Stock

Contact the Finance Office for instructions on transmitting shares of stock electronically to our brokerage account. If you have the physical stock certificates, please schedule time to stop by the Finance Office for the transfer. The shares will need to be signed in the same manner in which they are printed, which may require that both donors be present. Signatures must be notarized, which we can do for you in the church office. The contribution is valued at the fair market value of the stock certificates at the time of transfer.

Some people can realize tax benefits through gifts of stock. Please contact your tax advisor for more info.

Gifts of Property or Other Assets

ZPC accepts gifts of property and other tangible items for which it has direct use. These gifts are accepted after consideration by the church leadership. Gifts that are accepted will be acknowledged through a receipt from the church for tax purposes; such gifts are not included on the annual cash giving statements issued by the church, as the value is assigned by the donor.

Matching Gifts

Ask your employer if your company participates in a Matching Gifts Program. Some companies will match the amount of your gift, while others may match with a 2:1 contribution to ZPC. If your company participates, it is generally as simple as completing their matching gift form and sending it to the church along with your donation. The proceeds from the match will be placed toward the same program as the original gift.

Memorial Gifts

Memorial gifts are made in remembrance of a family or friend. The church will send a notice of your gift, without indicating the dollar amount, to the family of the deceased. A review of memorial funds is made periodically, with suggested appropriate uses of memorial funds provided for the family’s consideration.

Planned Giving

Charitable trusts and annuities, life income gifts, and bequests are increasingly popular forms of giving. These kinds of gifts may provide tax advantages, and in some cases income, to the donor and beneficiaries. Those considering such gifts should consult with a financial advisor. Please be sure to let us know if you have already provided for ZPC in your will.
