Congregational Care

care_cross_cross1

Nobody has to go through this life alone. We try to share each others' burdens and join in each others' celebrations. Here are a few ways we do that:

> Staff Liaison: Pat Smith [317.873.6503]

Bereavement Team

  [317.626.5647]

Everyone experiences loss. Our team helps during the physically and emotionally exhausting time that follows the death of a loved one. We provide practical assistance like food and transportation, serve as hospitality coordinators during funeral services, and work with the pastoral staff to bring God’s grace and love to sustain you through these difficult periods.

Bundle of Joy

>  [317.581.0499]

Congratulations! If you've given birth or adopted a child, your life has changed forever. We pray for our new parents and offer meals (every other night for two weeks) to help with your transition. We also provide new parents with information and connections to other ZPC groups.

Caring Connection

> Cindy Johnson [317.582.1888]

Inspiration is everywhere, and we want to hear about it. We gather stories about people who care for others and how lives are impacted by their actions. Of course, a story is only inspiring if someone hears it, so we share these stories through several media. Have you been inspired by someone? Please email or call Cindy.

Community Assistance

> Contact the ZPC Office [317.873.6503] or  [317-733-1563]

Sometimes when it rains, it pours. If you have an emergency financial need, we will take your hotline call. Ask us for what you need, and our volunteers will find resources to help.

Helping Hands: A Special Needs Ministry

> Bev Platt [317.844.6613]

Does your child have special needs? We would love meet your family and find out how our trained volunteers can help with hands-on support at church.

Hospital/Hospice Visitation

> Contact the ZPC Office [317.873.6503] or  [317-575-9354]

It's easy to let fear and uncertainty take hold when you or a loved one is facing a medical procedure, is in the hospital, or is under hospice care, but we can help. We bring God's comfort, words, and love to patients and their families through prayer, personal visits, and phone calls.

Meals Ministry

Margaret Gordon [317.873.9376]

When life changes or becomes less certain, having a meal you didn't fix (or pick up in a paper sack) is a wonderful thing.  If you've requested meals from the Bundle of Joy, Hospital/Hospice, or Bereavement ministry, you'll be hearing from us.

Military Support Group

>  [317.289.1208]

Do you know a local resident serving in Iraq or Afghanistan? Send us their name, picture, and address and the military support group will pray and support them with cards and care packages. Interested in donating items for the care packages? Items needed include: hand sanitizer, sun screen, Gold Bond foot powder, personal hygiene items, calling cards, Gatorade powder for 10 oz. of water, shower sandals, socks, cards of encouragement, and pictures & articles of current events.

Donated items may be dropped off at Zionsville American Legion or the Welcome Center at ZPC.

Prayer Ministries

> Joyce Ter Horst [317.873.9841]

Life can really beat us up. Our entire beings can be in turmoil over past events or present circumstances. Whether our suffering is caused by something or someone outside our control, or even if we had a hand in creating a bad situation, God can heal our hurts. We provide a safe place to come for prayer and study; you can experience physical, spiritual, emotional and relational healing when you seek God's touch. Let us help.
