Noah's Ark is a full-scale childcare program committed to providing a safe, healthy, and Christian environment where children can grow spiritually, emotionally, socially, physically, and intellectually. Our professional teachers model biblical Christian principles and provide stimulating curriculum and activities.
We provide care for children of the ages six weeks to six years old. Before and after school care for children who attend kindergarten is available, although we do not provide transportation. We are housed in the education wing of Zionsville Presbyterian Church. Our hours are Monday - Friday from 7 am - 6 pm.
Curriculum and Activities
We use a wonderful curriculum from A Beka Book Company. This material enables us to provide a foundation in basic learning skills and values parents hope to instill in their children.
Breakfast, morning snack, a hot lunch, and afternoon snack are provided.
Outside play is important for healthy growth and development, so if the weather is dry and 30+ degrees, we bundle up and hit the ground running! We have three playgrounds, each tailored to a different age range. During the summer we plan field trips (ages 3+), bike days, and everyone's favorite, splash day!
If it isn't reasonable to be outside, each class is given the opportunity to play in the gym. There are balls, hoops, bikes, parachutes, and infinite relays to be run!
The Noah’s ark Kindergarten offers a well-rounded day that includes math, language arts, intense phonics, writing, physical activity, Bible stories, and special classes on art, music, cooking, library time, and show and share. Our curriculum is the Saxson Phonics and Spelling K and Saxson Math K. The Saxson curriculum is a success-oriented program that enables children to develop a solid foundation in phonics and thus become successful readers and spellers. The math introduces new concepts through hands-on activities and rich mathematical conversations that actively engage students in the learning process. Your child will learn through discussions, explorations, and oral/written practice.
