The Unwanted King
We live in a world where we expect our leaders to have political agendas. Jesus lived in a world where the people had the same expectations of their leaders. The gospel writers define Jesus as a King, and rightly so, but his agenda was anything but expected. Jesus was not a King of politics or social reform and his agenda was anything but wanted. Jesus brought a spiritual Kingdom, called for spiritual reform, and was rejected for it and he is still being rejected for it today. Join us this weekend as we commemorate Jesus triumphal entry into Jerusalem in the days before his trial and crucifixion.
