Local Missions

ZPC partners with a number of area mission organizations. Below is information about each one, where current voluteer opportunities, wish list items, and prayer needs can be found. Questions can be directed to the individuals listed.

Alternative Christmas Market

>  [317.873.2513]

The ZPC Alternative Christmas Market offers a unique alternative to the commercialism that has come to define the Christmas season. Instead of making retail purchases, shoppers at the market make financial contributions to one of the represented charities in honor of those on their shopping list. In lieu of an actual gift, the recipient will receive a special card to inform them of the gift that was given in their name. An insert in the card further describes the charity to which the contribution was made. These “alternative gifts” not only show the love of Christ to the recipients, but the financial contributions to the various organizations continue to spread his love throughout the world.

Housing Ministry

The ZPC Housing Ministry serves Christ by participating in projects to provide housing for individuals in need. Service opportunities include both constructing new and rehabbing existing homes. Most projects take place in Marion or Boone counties, but building-oriented mission trips within the United States and overseas are occasionally offered. Plan to be a part of the exciting service opportunities coming up in August and September! This year's activities coming soon.

Kairos Ministry

 [317.696.7591]

Kairos Prison Ministry is a body of ministries addressing the spiritual needs of incarcerated men, women and children, their families, and those who work in the prison environment.  Kairos is based on the Cursillo movement, and is supported by volunteers from Cursillo and those other 4th Day movements that consider Cursillo as their root, such as Cursillo, National Episcopal Cursillo, Presbyterian Cursillo, Lutheran Via de Cristo, The Upper Room's Walk To Emmaus, Great Banquet, and independently ecumenical Tres Dias.  Kairos is a ministry of the church ... a ministry of the apostles whom Jesus called into community and sent forth into the environment of the correctional institution.  Kairos is active in all of Indiana men's and women's adult prisons, and serves families of incarcerated individuals in Northern, Central and Southern Indiana communities.

There are numerous service opportunities in various communities throughout the year.  For more information, about Kairos and related service opportunities, contact one of the above. Read more.
