The Finance Team meets to monitor, assess, and make recommendations concerning the fiscal health of the congregation. The team, following the direction provided by session, our governing board comprised of pastoral staff and elected elders, and informed by the requests of various church groups, annually prepares a unified budget, addressing both operating and capital expenses, for approval by the elders and ratification by the congregation at the annual meeting. The team also communicates regularly with church members concerning current financial status and needs.

The goal of this team is to create a culture of generosity at ZPC that ensures our freedom to boldly respond to God’s call to build his kingdom. The team promotes “A Spirit of Servanthood and Stewardship” by teaching people about the principles of generosity, asking appropriately for support for the church’s ministries, providing tools to facilitate giving, and communicating about the church’s finances.

Under the direction of the administrative staff, members and friends of ZPC provide support in the ZPC office in a variety of ways. Volunteers assist with data entry, prepare church publications and mailings, answer telephones, give directions to visitors, oversee the church office during staff meetings, or help the ministry assistants tackle any number of special projects or initiatives.

The Outdoor Ministry works to beautify and maintain ZPC’s sixteen-plus acres. Ongoing work includes the cultivation of existing plants, trees, and flower beds. The team is also involved in the design and creation of new landscape settings around the building and the perimeters of our property.

The Personnel Team serves in an advisory capacity to the Executive Director of Operations on all matters related to human resources. Issues include employment policies, compensation, benefits, and other items associated with the church staff. The team is made up of experienced HR professionals who are members of ZPC.

This team makes ZPC as safe as possible by establishing a structured approach to risk management. Responsibilities include administering an overall plan, safety inspections, reviewing insurance coverage, safety training, communication, feedback, and developing contingency plans for crisis management.
