Every group has a person like Thomas. Maybe an engineer or a CPA who wants to be intellectually honest and not accept anything without proof. This person often feels like they are an outsider. In this passage and message we will see that God does not ask us to check our intellects at the door when it comes to faith. He honors honest doubt and a desire to do thorough investigation. The Risen Lord treats Thomas with great respect and dignity. Thomas’ response of faith is “My Lord and my God!”
