Missionary Steve and Amie have specific thoughts to share with ZPCer's:
The passion that drives our lives is Glorifying God by helping plant new churches which reproduce among the least reached people groups of Asia. Over the past 18 years we’ve carried out this work directly and through equipping foreign and local national leaders. The results have been encouraging- in one country alone we and those we trained have started about 100 new churches!
A group called Mission to Unreached People (MUP) shares our passion and vision. Their goal is to raise up 400 new church planting teams to reach some of the least reached people groups of our world. Recently the international director of MUP asked us to join their organization as regional leaders. After much prayer and counsel we accepted the invitation. No need to move house or change schools. Starting this fall Amie will be working with MUP leaders to encourage abundant prayer and determine training needs for new teams in many places globally. Steve will be responsible to lead, train and coach church planting leaders and their teams in five countries in South East Asia.
What does our new ministry focus mean for ZPC? It means you have a strategic stake in raising up and training dozens of church planting teams for the least reached people groups across SE Asia. We hope you are as excited about that as we are! Secondly, maybe God will ask some of you to join us. In the next few years we will be receiving short term prayer walking teams, 1-2 year interns, and long term workers.
As we begin this exciting new phase of ministry please take minute to pray God will give us favor and wisdom. Pray also would the Lord would have you join us in any way?
