ZPC is collaborating with Youth for Christ in serving our Crooked Creek neighbors. Through the leadership of Traci Kaufman, Crooked Creek Coordinator, we aim to build relationships and meet tangible needs in the Crooked Creek community.
Current Opportunities to Serve:
WESTLANE CAMPUS LIFE VOLUNTEERS: Join us in leading a Campus Life after school program where there is lots of fun, friends, and faith! We are looking for volunteers to mentor and build authentic Christ sharing relationships with 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. (Time commitment: Every—other Wednesday; 4-6 pm during the school year).
FOOD, CLOTHING, AND PERSONAL HYGIENE DONATIONS: Help provide healthy snacks, new/gently used clothing, and personal hygiene items for students in need. Drop off donations at Traci Kaufman’s ZPC office. Also, consider an additional opportunity to provide families in need with Wal-Mart gift cards.
HOSPITALITY: Bring joy and appreciation to teachers and staff by providing (and delivering if you would like) snacks once a month to Westlane Middle School.
EVENTS: Please continue to check the Crooked Creek Sign-up Page for 1-time events (Time commitment: 2-3 hours)! These are fun school events that provide outreach opportunities to Westlane and Eastwood Middle School students and their families.
FOOD PANTRY: Volunteer at Crooked Creek Food Pantry. Crooked Creek Food Pantry serves over 5,000 families per week! The Pantry requires more than 150 volunteers per week to meet the needs of the community. For more information: Home | Indianapolis | Crooked Creek Food Pantry
We believe God is already at work in this community, and we are honored to walk alongside our neighbors in love and humility. Please consider joining us in this important ministry.
