Evangelism/Discipleship
A major focus of each of our three partners. Best captured by the mission statement of our Mexican partner. “To make disciples who, in turn, make other disciples.” Accomplished through one-to-one relationship building, Bible studies, small groups and activities such as vacation Bible school and community outreaches. Constant and ongoing.
Church Planting
One of three priorities for our Mexican partners as they seek to plant five new churches in the Riviera Maya Presbytery. Iglesia Hermandad Cristiana in Indianapolis and Amistad Cristiana in Fort Wayne function as new church plants in terms of their focus on growing their presence in the surrounding communities.
Leadership development
Growing and sustaining Hispanic ministry with each of our partners is dependent on identifying and equipping new leaders. Given this objective, major effort is expended to produce relevant leadership material leading to retreats and conferences with church pastors, leaders and spouses to grow leadership skills. To date several fully resourced curriculums have been created and implemented with our ministry partners with excellent results.
Community Outreach
All three components prioritize community outreach. As examples, in the Dominican Republic, Bridges Projects are ways for local pastors to meet the needs of their communities. In Mexico, Pastor Joel’s church has opened a food pantry and plans to open a Christian counseling center.
