Serving the Near Eastside of Indianapolis, Shepherd works to build assets into people’s lives so they can break the bonds of generational poverty through creating life-long, relationship-based care. Shepherd seeks to make a difference physically, socially, and spiritually in the main areas of food security, mentoring, education, and advocacy.
Ways to be Involved:
- Remotely tutor and/or read with students in the Shepherd Academy.
- In person tutoring of middle and high school students.
- Deliver food to families throughout the week. This is a partnership with Gleaners.
- Volunteer at holiday events or do a service project. This can be as a single volunteer, as a family or a
Home Group.
