Bigs ministry includes 1st-4th grades and meets at 9 and 10:45 am on Sunday mornings. Your child will be welcomed into the room by carefully selected and trained volunteers with worship music, laughter, and smiling faces. This time consists of intentionally planned worship, lesson, games, activities, small group discussion, and relationship development.
Our elementary children use their knowledge learned at home and from Littles ministry to begin applying the Bible to their lives. Each week the children engage in a lesson that incorporates active learning and biblical truth. During the lesson, each child opens a Bible and follows along to build Bible fluency as well as to build a habit of checking to make sure what they are taught is consistent with God’s true words given to us in the Bible. After the large group worship and lesson, Bigs enjoy grade-level small groups with consistent volunteers where activities are geared toward applying the lesson and sowing the seeds of a biblical worldview. Throughout this time, we also work to hide God’s Word in our hearts through the memorization and application of Scripture through a variety of approaches. All of this is designed to help our children grow in their personal understanding of and relationship with Jesus as well as prepare them to engage with the culture around them as they are sent out to shine the light of Jesus in their everyday lives.
ZPC Bigs also provides opportunities outside of Sunday mornings for children and families to create authentic Christian relationships through social and serving opportunities.

Bible Dedication
Bible Dedication Class is a ZPC tradition for our 3rd and 4th graders. Over the course of four weeks, children attend a class to learn more about what the Bible is, why we have it, how it came to be, and how to use it. At the end of the class, parents present their child with a special bible during worship service.

If you have an interest in serving with NextGen, we ask that you:
- Attend ZPC regularly for 6 months
- Submit a Volunteer Application
- Complete a background check and submit references
- Meet with a NextGen staff member
- Complete the Training Class

ZPC is committed to protecting children and youth from all forms of abuse. Our Sexual Misconduct Policy establishes strict guidelines and preventative measures to ensure the safety of every child in our care. All staff and volunteers undergo training and screening, and we maintain clear procedures for reporting and responding to any concerns. By following these policies, we create a space where children can thrive spiritually, socially, and emotionally—confident that they are safe, valued, and loved.
