Congregational Meeting

Time: Noon – 12:30 pm

Please plan to join us at the Congregational Meeting called for by the Session on Sunday, May 2 following the 11 am service. Due to COVID19, the Congregational Meeting will be both in person and livestreamed.

The purpose of the meeting is three-fold:

  • vote on the members of the 2021 Nominating Committee (details below)
  • sale of the house at 4625 W 116th St
  • construction of a self-standing Food Pantry Building

2021 Nominating Committee — The Session has the responsibility to nominate the Chair (a currently serving elder) and the Elder Representative, (a non-serving elder) and the Board of Deacons has the responsibility to nominate the Deacon Representative to serve on the committee.

The Session has voted to nominate Sharon Pierce as Chair and Val Lindenschmidt as the Elder Representative. The Deacon Board nominated Mike Crabb as the Deacon Representative. The four At-Large members to the Nominating Committee are nominated by the congregation. The names of these nominees are: Judy Barnes, Brad Bierwagen, Kara Crabb, Philana Cunningham, Marty DuRall, Rachel Dysert, Mike E. Ellis, Sarah Gray, Cara Grimes, Kris Johnson, Betty Sue Laffoon, Kristyn Looney, Jenni Nolan, Liz Qua, Pat Sharp, Misty Soderstrom, and Jay Wasson.

The Nominating Committee is charged with the responsibility of selecting the members that will be presented as a slate of candidates to serve as Elders and Deacons beginning in 2022.

Anyone is welcome to attend the Congregational Meeting, however, you must be a member of ZPC to vote.
