Moments with Mark | Friday

Time: 4:30 pm – 8:30 pm

ZPC: 4775 W 116th St, Zionsville, IN US 46077

Moments with Mark is an opportunity to ponder afresh portions of Mark’s Gospel—with reflection and depth.
Open to all, high school and beyond, and one need not have participated previously to share in the next unfolding glimpse into Jesus’ ministry.

Believing that Mark wrote with intentionality, we have now journeyed through Chapters 1-6, and on into chapter 7. In doing so, we have gained an overview of Jesus’ ministry; we have observed his rising conflict with the religious leaders; we have pondered the heart of his teaching; we have considered the faith of those who first followed him; we have watched Him feed thousands, walk upon water, and enter into the Gentile world (our world). In May, our journey now continues as we behold His healing and feeding Gentiles, whereby He then asks His disciples: “Who do you say I am?” In response to their answer, He rebukes them: “Don’t tell anyone.”

Our mode of study is reading the text and answering inductive questions, and moments of interactive dialogue. For our study we use Stan’s working resource: The Great Opening: Mark 1-8.
